Do you like winter or Does winter get you down? Why not stay in shape Come out and enjoy the Fun filled atmosphere in The gym. Our winter Program is filled with Exciting activities such as I Love Gymnastics Week~! Where clubs across Ontario Take part in participating In events hosted by different Clubs. Each year Clarington Gymnastics host different Activity days to help Promote fitness among Children and adults.

This Event will be held mid Feb 2007 watch for more information to come!! If you would like to be a part Of this event and our Winter Session Registration Is ongoing until classes are full don’t miss out! Winter programs start Jan 8th – March 24th/07. (closed for the March break)

Clarington Gymnastics shows their Canadian pride in New York!

Clarington gymnasts showing pride with their results from the Greater New York Invitational Dec 1 – 3, 2006. 10 members of the provincial team attended the meet ranging in age from 9 yrs - 15 yrs old. For the 9 – 13 yr olds it was their first meet of the 2006/2007 season. 15-year-old Emma Harness stole the show winning gold over -all, gold on floor and beam with silver on bars and bronze on vault. 11 yr old Abigail Duke placed 4th AA with gold on vault (she is now the vault champion for the 2005/2006 season in Ontario in her age category) also receiving 2nd on floor, 4th on bars and 8th on beam. Tori Harness took home medals on beam, floor and vault placing 5th AA. Stephanie Cloutier placing 5th on floor and bars, 7th on both beam and vault placing an impressive 6th AA. Mackenzie Clemens receiving 6th on floor, beam and vault and receiving 9th on bars respectfully. Courtney McKinlay also receiving medals with 2nd on floor 3rd on beam and 4th on both vault and bars placing 3rd AA. For the youngest Provincial athletes of the club it was a very impressive start to the season with Sydney McCutcheon placing 3rd on both vault and floor with 4th on bars and 5th on beam and 4th AA. Kendra Carson receiving 3rd on beam, 5th on vault, bars and floor rounding out the trio 9yr Erica Carson receiving 6 on all events and in the AA respectfully. It was an opportunity to compete outside of Canada at an International event on different equipment. The experience that was gained from this event will last a lifetime!

Dec 17th 1 – 5pm we will be hosting Our annual Christmas party. With Demos from our athletes and lots of great food! There may even be a surprise guest!!


New Programs Winter Session return to top

JC Elite- This program is For the child who shows Potential towards entering into a pre-competitive stream. We will be working with the Ontario Development Program.

Achievement Program
Does your child need to be challenged more? 3 hrs 1x per wk for the advance gymnasts ages 7 – 10yrs.

Interclub Program
This is a great opportunity for the developing competitive child. 6 hrs 2x per wk. *All children must be tested and accepted for these programs. If you have any questions please call the gym at 905-623-4882.

Emily

Emily


6 yr old Emily started at Clarington Gymnastics In the Development Program in Sept/06. Since then she has achieved her backwalk-over on floor and a cartwheel On the highbeam. Her coach Kristi says, “she is a hard worker And loves the gym”! Great Work Emily!!

 

 

 

Respect Our Gym return to top

Please keep in mind a few rules:

Please arrive on time. Warm up is an essential part of gymnastics to prevent injury. Only water bottles with your child's name on it are allowed in the change rooms.(rec only)

Please don't bring any valuables such as expensive rings watch's etc.

Please remove shoes at the door. We want to keep our gym clean!

No parents are permitted beyond the double wood doors. All parents may watch their children from the viewing area provided.

No communication between parents and children are allowed. Please let the coach's do their job.

 

 



All our Coaching Staff are certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (N.C.C.P) and are members of Gymnastics Ontario.
