Top Ten Things a
Parent Should Know! return
to top
Physical activity stimulates growth
and leads to improved physical
and emotional health. Today,
research shows that the
importance of physical activity in
children is stronger than ever. But
sport, not just exercise, gives a
child more than just physical wellbeing;
it contributes to a child's
development both
psychologically and socially.
Being the parent of a child in
sport requires far more attention,
time, and commitment than just
driving them to their practices
and games. The primary goal of
parents and coaches is to help
children find the success in sport
they need to make them feel
valued and wanted.

part of gymnastics to

your child's name on it are
allowed in the change
rooms.(rec only)
- Please don't bring any
valuables such as
expensive rings watch's
etc.
- Please remove shoes at the
door. We want to keep
our gym clean!
- No parents are permitted
beyond the double wood
doors. All parents may
watch their children from
the viewing area provided.
- No communication
between parents and
children are allowed.
Please let the coaches do
their job.

The rules of good nutrition are
quite simple. Consume
adequate food and fluid before,
during, and after training or
competition to help maintain
blood glucose levels during
performance, maximize
performance, and improve
recovery time. Athletes should
be well hydrated before training
or competition and they should
also drink enough fluid during
and after to balance fluid losses.
CAC's Sport Nutrition program is
designed to offer athletes,
coaches, and parents access to
nutrition tips, tools, and advice
as well as access to sport
nutrition professionals in order
to ensure good health and
optimal athletic performance.
All
our Coaching Staff are certified through the National Coaching
Certification Program (N.C.C.P) and are members of Gymnastics
Ontario.
