OClarington Gymnastics will be running a 6 week summer program from July 17th – Aug 24th/06.

Don’t miss out on our Theme weeks such as:

Registration for summer will begin as follows

Our Summer Programs are a great way to keep up your gymnastics skills and achieve an additional Level. Classes do fill up quickly so don’t miss out!

We raised over $4,000!! Thank you to all who Participated your efforts are greatly appreciated. Prizes will be award for our top 3 participants.

Going Hollywood return to top

Please join us for our annual recreational meet. This year’s theme is Going Hollywood with all the perks that go with it! Our gym will be transformed into a star studded stage! This is a great opportunity for recreational athletes to show off their skills they have been working on all year.

ODP Event return to top

We will also be hosting an Ontario Development Program on the 18th.
There are no routines for the Level 2 – 4 athletes. Instead a series of stations are set up to test 3 main areas – Flexibility, Handstand Development,& Strength, Power & Endurance.

We are happy to announce our exciting new programs for Summer/Fall 2006

Achievement Program

This was especially created for the more advanced gymnast who is looking for a challenge. Attend 3hrs/wk for the session.

Moga Madness 2nd Place Winner return to top

During I Luv Gymnastics Week our club participated in Moga Madness Challenge. Each club was asked to create what they thought was the most outrageous gymnastics event! The judging panel was very impressed with us awarding us 2nd place & $800 Spieth Anderson Gift Certificate which will go towards the purchase of a Mat system just like a pit!

Athelete of the Monthl return to top

KATIE

Katie is one of our outstanding Provincial Level 7 Athletes. Katie has made great strides this year in placing 5thAA at Elite Ontario scoring 9.1 + on every event!
She was the only athlete to accomplish this. She is a dedicated & hard working athlete who is a joy to coach.

Competitive News Beaming with Pride at Elite Ontario!

Our Level 7 & 8 girls attended Elite Ontario held is Caledonia Apr 21st– 23rd.
Posting some outstanding results were Sarah Dales & Emma Harness Level 7 age 12 & 13 finishing 2nd place in the Province on the beam.
Sarah also won the Dance/ Artistry Award for beam.
Katie Bignell scoring an impressive 5th AA in the province.
Emma Harness scoring 6th AA in the Province.
Kellee Stephens through injury placed 21st respectfully.

Provincial Championships Vaulting to the Podium

Clarington Gymnastics also sent a team of athletes to Provincial Championships held in St.Catherines Apr 28 - 30th. Again our athletes were consistent is scoring some outstanding results:
Abigail Duke Level 5 age 10 2006 Provincial Vault Champion!
Scoring an impressive 9.6 Emma Russo Level 6 age 14 + placing 5th AA in the Province who also takes home the Highest Leaps/Jumps Award for the beam.

Overall Clarington gymnasts had an outstanding year!

Congratulations to All our Athletes!

Testing for our competitive programs is by invitation only. It will be taking place during May.

All testing is done by the head coach.

Parents Week & Holidays return to top

Reminder to all recreational parents that your parents week will be as follows:
Monday classes June 19th
Tues - Wed - Thurs: June 6th, 7th & 8th
Saturday classes June 24th

*We will be running Saturday classes May 20th.
No classes Monday, May 22nd Victoria Day

Happy Mothers Day, June 14th to all Mom’s!

Respect Our Gym return to top

Please keep in mind a few rules:

Please arrive on time. Warm up is an essential part of gymnastics to prevent injury.
Only water bottles with your child's name on it are allowed in the change rooms.(rec only)
Please don't bring any valuables such as expensive rings watch's etc.
Please remove shoes at the door. We want to keep our gym clean!
No parents are permitted beyond the double wood doors. All parents may watch their children from the viewing area provided.
No communication between parents and children are allowed. Please let the coaches do their job.

Please remember there will be no recreational classes during the March Break 13th – 18th.

Spring begins March 20th.

There will be no classes Easter weekend April 15 & 16. No classes May long weekend May 20 -22nd.



All our Coaching Staff are certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (N.C.C.P) and are members of Gymnastics Ontario.
